A commodian is someone who runs off at the mouth like a busted commode. It is a Navy term, used to describe our hero who cannot stay out of trouble while he is growing up in the United States Navy. It is hillourously funny and while a lot of military terminology is used, it is thoroughly explained to the reader. There are no foul words used in this manuscript. It is autobiographical in nature, and you will enjoy the antics of a young man growing up in the Navy and the adventures he had. There are plenty of pictures to help the reader place the action and the sequence of events.

Joe Pudd, his friend Tootlum Shanks and Joe's girlfriend Mavis Pruitt live in Magee, Mississiippi and spend a lot of their time dodging the local Sheriff Ezekial "E Z" Lucerne. Mavis is an expert on the welfare system, Tootlum is a half breed black and Joe is dumber than a sack of hammers. The story is written in the third person and is funny, entertaining and if you ever lived in redneck country, you would swear it was true.

Langston Barber Sullivan is called 'Pounds" by his friends because of his initials.He is born and bred in Sullivan's Hollow, Smith County, Mississippi and retired now and gone into business for himself as a private investigator. Not having to work, he is reluctant to take on any jobs at all but now and then gets roped in. His Navy Seal training comes in handy when the bad guys want to get nasty. A state Senator and his wife talks Pounds into a nasty and crazy  case involving drugs and the Senator's daughter.
